Our Philosophy

Our objective is to provide a well-equipped and well staffed nursery that will Messy Roomcater for children between the ages of 6 weeks to 10 years. Our aim is to provide a warm, friendly atmosphere and a wide variety of experiences for all children in our care. This means that your child will benefit not only from expert physical care by fully trained and experienced staff, but also from a carefully planned programme of activities specially designed to meet the needs of each age group within the nursery. We are continually reviewing our methods to ensure continual improvement in the quality of our child care provision. Our facilities are available to each child irrespective of ethnic origin, gender or special needs. The individual needs of each child will be the first consideration.

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

EYFS is a government framework for learning, development and care for children from birth to five. Its purpose is to provide all children with the best possible learning opportunities and experiences to help each child reach their full potential. Each child will have an ‘individual learning journal’ which enables staff to record and monitor their achievements in each of the areas highlighted within the EYFS. This also gives us the chance to record and remember the little things as well as the big achievements each child makes.

Bright Sparks Day Nursery provides childcare for children from the age of 6 weeks to 10 years on either a full time or part time basis, included in this are pre-school teaching for children from 3+ years and after-school.

Our Rooms

Baby Room

Our baby room is designed to be bright, colourful, fun and stimulating to encourage our younger children to be playful and inquisitive at each stage of their development. It offers a safe, caring environment with a variety of toys and sensory equipment to encourage this.

Toddler Room

Our toddler room is designed for children from 2 to 3 years of age. This is an exciting time in the development of your child and it is when the fun really begins. For this age group, the day becomes a little more structured, and is split between free play and more organised adult-led activities.

Pre-school Room

Our pre-school room is designed for children from 2 to 5 years of age, and allows us to further enhance the learning your child experiences in our toddler room. Although this is the age we can start introducing letters and numerals, we really focus on fun and learning through play and introducing academic concepts and refining their social skills.
